We’re going with the ELA series for the log processing line — specifically the ELA300 model, which hits that 60-400mm diameter range we need for most of our incoming stock, and it handles lengths up to 2500mm or so depending on the configuration, so that covers the bulk of our runs.

It’s got a dual spindle setup at 37 kW each, which is pretty much the sweet spot for ripping hardwoods without bogging down, and the blade speed sits around 3900 r/min — that’s actually tighter tolerance than some other machines we looked at, especially for avoiding burn marks on the cut face.

One thing that stood out is the in-shaft water spray cooling system, which is a detail most buyers probably don’t think about until they’re dealing with blade warping from heat buildup; we’ve had that issue before on the older line, so this should reduce downtime.
The PLC with touch screen is straightforward enough that operators won’t need retraining — basically just set the cut length and number of blades, which can be up to 12, and the automatic feeding does the rest, though it’s not ideal for very short offcuts under 200mm since the rollers don’t grip well there.

Lead time is roughly 6-8 weeks form order, and we’ll need the CE and ISO certs sent with the COA — the suppiler usually has stock, but I’d confirm that before we cut the PO; also, the weight is about 2800 kg for this model, so we’ll need the forklift rating checked before delivrey.
The ELA500 can handle logs up to 500mm in diameter. For the smaller models like ELA200, it drops to 60mm, so pick based on your log size.
Typical lead time is 30-45 days after order confirmation, depending on the model and current production load. We'll give you a firm date once we confirm specs.
Yes, all ELA series machines are CE and ISO certified. We can provide the documents upon request.
MOQ is 1 unit per order. We don't require bulk buys, so you can start with just one machine.
It sprays water directly through the shaft onto the saw blades during operation to reduce heat and extend blade life. It's automatic and integrated into the machine.
