The IP65 rating is the big draw here—rain, dust, snow, it doesn't really care, which saves you the cost of building a separate enclosure.
It's a 51.2V nominal system with 300Ah capacity, so you're looking at 15.36kWh per unit, give or take depending on how you cycle it. The cells are 16S1P configuration, and the BMS handles RS232, RS485, and CAN communication—you can most inverters without a translator box. Cycle life is rated at 6000+ cycles at 80% DoD, which is better than most lead-acid replacements by a factor of 3 or so.
What it does is use smart air cooling rather than passive convection, so the fan kicks in when the internal temp climbs above 45°C or so. That makes a real difference if you're stacking them in a tight space or running them hard at 200A max discharge. The LCD on the front shows you voltge, current, and SOC—nothing fancy, but it's useful for a quick check without pulling out a multimeter.
You can parallel up to 6 units for a total of 90kWh, but here's the thing—the cabling between them gets bulky fast, and you'll want busbars the combined current. The warranty is 10 years at 80% DoD, though we usually have stock, so confirm lead time before assuming it's immediate. One thing buyers don't always ask about: the weight is 115kg, so plan for two people or a dolly during installation.
It's not suited for high-rate discharge appliction like starting motors or heavy indutrial equiment—the recommended continuous is 100A, and pushing to 200A shortens the lifespan noticeably. For solar storage where you're cycling once or twice daily, it's basically a set-and-forget solution. operating range is -20°C to 55°C, but charging below 0°C will trip the BMS protection, which is standdard for LiFePO4.
The 280AH and 300AH are just two tested ratings for the same pack. You'll get 15.36KWH total energy at the 300AH spec, but both options refer to the same battery—just different testing standards or discharge depths.
Yes, IP65 means it's fully protected against dust and low-pressure water jets from any direction, so rain or splashes won't hurt it. Just don't submerge it or hose it down directly.
