Basically it's a 12.1-inch TFT display unit that tracks fetal heart rate between 50-240 bpm, uterine contractions from 0-100 units, and SpO2 from 70%-99%, plus it does NIBP and tempearture (up to 50°C) so you're covered for maternal vitals too. Most hospitals use this in labor and delivrey for continuous monitoring, but we've also had clinics buy it for high-risk pregnancy follow-ups.
The ultrasound frequency is 1.0MHz with acoustic output under 5mW/cm², and you get a 152mm thermal printer built right in — that printer's something like 20 years of use, give or take depending on how much you run it. Data storage holds over 12 hours, which is more than enough for a typical shift. Dimensions are 350×320×85mm and it weighs 3.5kg, so it's not exactly lightweight but you can wheel teh cart into a tight room.
One thing we don't recommend is using this for remote home monitoring — it's designed for clinical settings with trained staff operating it, not for unattended use. What it does is pack a lot of monitoring parameters into one machine (CE certified, by the way), and the 90-degree folding screen makes it easy to angle for different positions. The battery backup is handy when you need to move the patient mid-monitoring, though runtime varies depending on which parameters are active.
We include a COA with each unit and the automated NIBP readings are tighter tolerance than some older models we've replaced for customers, usually within 2-3 mmHg. The 5mg or 10mg reference isn't relevant here, but we do recommend checking operating temperature range (+5°C to +40°C) before placing in less controlled environments like hallways or triage.
