We've been shippng these GSM-IIIA units for a while now, and the 10.4-inch TFT is pretty much the first thing people notice—it's bright enough to read from across the OR, which matters more than you'd think when you're juggling a dozen things at once.
It runs on electronic control with IPPV, SIPPV, MANUAL, SIMV/F/2, SIGH, and PEEP modes, and the minimum tidal volume hits 10ml so it's fine for pediatric cases too. The dual vaporizer stations let you switch agents mid-case, and the 1.6L CO2 absorption tank is good for a full day's work usually. Gas supply needs O2 and N2O at 0.3 to 0.5Mpa, power is AC 220V plus or minus 10% at 50Hz, and it compensates for temperature, flow, and pressure automatically—that's one of those details that keeps the ventilator from drifting on you during long procedures.
Alarm functions cover pressure, volume, oxygen, apnea, and power, which basically means if something goes sideways it'll yell at you before you even notice. The presure and flow sensors are double-ended so tidal volume readings stay accurate even with leaks in circuit.
It's got ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 certs, and the warranty runs one year. Most buyers go with the standerd package, but we usually have stock—just confirm lead time since shipping can vary by region, typically 20 days or so.
One thing it's not great for is neonatal work below 10ml tidal volume—you'd want a dedicated neonatal machine for that. Also, the metal and plastic construction holds up fine, but don't drop teh vaporizer station when you're swapping agents; we've had a few come back with cracked fittings form that.
The GSM-IIIA supports a minimum tidal volume of 10ml, so it's safe for pediatric use. Just make sure to adjust the settings accordingly for smaller patients.
You can run it on oxygen alone—no problem. The N2O supply is optional, but both gases need 0.3-0.5Mpa if you choose to connect them.
