What you're actually getting with this kit is a complete set of everything needed to rebuild the swivel joint—the lip seals, wiper rings, O-rings, even teh metal balls and ball plugs are included, so you don't have to chase down extra parts from different suppliers.
The rotary lip seal uses an anti-extrusion design, which pretty much eliminates the risk of the seal blowing out under high pressure, and we've run these up to 15,000 PSI without issues; the temperature window runs from -30°C up to +120°C, but that does depend on your material choice (HNBR handles the high end better than NBR).
Most buyers go with the standdard black Buna/NBR for general hydraulic work, but if you're moving sour gas or dealing with high heat, the blue or yellow FKM seals are the better fit—tighter tolerance than the standard stuff, though they do cost a bit more.
Anyway, for sizing you've got 2-inch, 3-inch, and 4-inch options that drop into Fig 1002, 1502, and 602 models, and these are specifically designed for FMC Chiksan style swivel joints, not much else out there really fits them the same way.
Hardness runs 75 to 95 Shore A depending on the compound, so for high-cycle applicaion you'll want softer end for better conformability—one thing nobody thinks to ask is that the blue FKM seals often have a slightly different lip profile than the black NBR ones, so switching materials might change the break-away torque slightly.

NBR is standard for general oilfield use, HNBR gives you better resistance to high temperatures and sour gas, and FKM handles the widest chemical range and highest heat. The FKM kits come in blue or yellow, and the others are black.

Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and ozone sources like motors. Keep the temperature between 5°C and 25°C, and don't stack heavy items on top of the seals.
