Teh grip's got some give to it, so you're not feeling every knob and burr on a wire after an hour, and you'll notice the nickel plating doesn't chip or flake off like cheaper ones do — it just holds up to solvent wipes basically fine, though we wouldn't trust it for constant immersion in brake cleaner. 2. Most buyers go with the 8-inch for heavier conduit or rebar ties because makes 2.5mm hard wire cuts pretty effortless, but 6-inch is nicer if you're working inside a panel with tight headroom. 3. Hard to know exactly how many cycles the induction-hardened edge will last before requiring a touch-up, but in our testing it's better than a standerd non-heat-treated blade by a rough factor of three on nails. Stock typically runs about 200 pieces per size, lead time is usually within a week unless we're between import shipments (check our current lot for 6-inch — we're sometimes out of that). 4. And the box joint stays snug without getting sloppy over time, something we've actually seen happen on cheaper pressed-steel versions after just a few hundred openings. 5. Not suited for hardened steel springs or piano wire — that'll nick the blade edge quicker than you expect, even induction hardened has its limits.
