We've had a lot of guys burning through cheap pliers every few months on site, it was getting expensive and frustrating.
What these do is just hold up — teh 55# high carbon steel takes the abuse without the jaws deforming or the edge chipping out for a good long while.
Head hardness is in that 56-62HRC range which is actually better than a lot of generic imports, and the 40-48HRC on the body gives it some flex so the pliers don't just snap under heavy twisting loads, and we've had no complaints about the black oxide finish handling moisture on humid jobs.
The double-color ergonomic handles are a big help when you're working all day, they don't slip even with sweaty or slightly oily hands (usually 2-4 weeks lead time from our suplier, but we keep a buffer of 300 units or so).
One thing — these aren't designed for electrcial work, so don't try using them as lineman's pliers or on live circuits, the coating isn't insulated for that.
They ship packed in colorful handles which is pretty much standerd for this style from our source in China, and you'll see GS certified on packging.
