Drop forged form chrome-vanadium or carbon steel with a half-box joint and arched shaft, so you’re getting good bite on wire without jaws wandering—finishes include chrome, blackened, or electrophoresis, and we usually have stock on teh 7" size, but confirm lead time for special finishes.
They cut, crimp, and strip wire cleanly, though they’re not suited for heavy-duty cable above 10 AWG—that’s a job for dedicated cutters—and the PVC or PP+TPR handles (colorful options avaliable) insulate well for live work, but check the voltage rating for your local code.

They're typically made from chrome-vanadium steel, but we can also do carbon steel if you need a tougher option. Just let us know your preference when ordering.
MOQ for custom handle colors is 500 pieces per size. Standard black handles have a lower MOQ of 200 pieces, so that might work better if you're just testing the market.
Yes, we can supply a material test report and hardness certificate with each batch. Just request it on your purchase order and we'll include it at no extra cost.
Lead time is around 25–30 days for that quantity and finish. If you need it faster, we can expedite to about 18 days with a small rush fee.
Keep them in a dry environment, ideally in the PVC pouch we provide. If the humidity is high, a light coat of machine oil before storage helps keep the chrome finish rust-free.
