We've been sourcing these from the same shop for a couple of years now, and they basically handle everything we throw at them—, gripping, twisting, the usual field work. You'll see them most often on electrcial jobs or general building decoration, where that 3mm hard wire capacty is actually enough for 90% of the daily stuff.
The 8" size is what most buyers go with for, though the 6" gets picked for tighter spots. Hard wire up to 3mm is the spec on the box, but we've had guys use them on softer stuff well beyond that without complaints, just don't push it on hardened steel. The box joint is what keeps the jaws aligned after months of abuse.
They come in either a hanging card or a color box, depending on how you want to retail them. is quenching treated, which means the edge holds up better than standerd CR-V that hasn't been through that process. Handle colors vary, but the ergonomic grip is consistent across all—non-slip, which matters when your hands are sweaty or greasy.
Lead time is usually 20 days or so for a standard MOQ, but we keep a few hundred units in stock if you need a sample run fast. One thing we learned the hard way—these aren't suited for heavy-duty rebar; joint will hold, but the edge will chip if you're going through thick hardened steel daily. For general purpose work, they're tighter tolerance than most budget options we've tested.
We've got COAs on request for the materail composition, though honestly most buyers in this segment just want to know they'll survive a season of rough use without loosening up. DIN 5255 compliance is standard, so you're not guessing on the dimensions. Teh polished finish isn't just for looks—it help resist corrosion on humid job sites.
