You're looking at a white crystalline powder—it's Methyl Cyclopentenolone, and basically most buyers know it for that maple-clover sweet note that works great in flavors and fragrances.
So this is more than a food additive actually—people use it in coffee, cocoa, chocolate, even tobacco and cosmetics, and we usually stock it in 1kg bags or 25kg drums, with a shelf life over 12 months under normal conditions.

It melts between 105–107°C (check the COA our company provide), and it's soluble in ethanol, acetone, propylene glycol, and water, so you can work it into pretty much any formulation without hassle.

For bulk orders, most buyers go with the 25kg drums—they're easier to handle than you'd think, and pricing drops noticeably at that volume (roughly 20% less per kg compared to teh 1kg bags), but lead time is usually 20 days or so.

One thing we've seen a lot: it's not ideal for high-heat appliction above 150°C because flavor profile shifts, but for cold or moderate processing it performs better than reagent-grade options.
Anyway, purity hits 98% by HPLC, and we include TDS and MSDS with every shipment—we've had zero complaints about consistency across batches in the last two years.
