We needed something that could handle continuous fetal monitoring without dropping signal during movement, and the 1.0MHz transducer makes a real difference there when working in a busy clinic — it's better than the 2MHz probes for deeper penetration, but it's a trade-off because you'll lose some resolution in the near field. basically, if you're mostly tracking late-term pregnancies this is fine, but for early gestation you'd want the higher frequency.

it's got a 1024-frame cine loop which is honestly way more than most users will ever scroll through, but for reviewing a full contraction pattern or a decel event it means you don't have to keep hitting 'save' every 30 seconds. the 7-inch LCD is crisp enough for a small room but I wouldn't try to read it from across a large labor ward — you need to be within arm's reach.

output power is under 5mW/cm² which is the usual Class II threshold, and it come CE certified so customs clearance has been smooth for our EU shipments. the metal housing (about 1.75kg) actually helps with heat dissipation on long shifts, but be aware teh power cable is hardwired — no detachable cord, so pack an extension if the exam table is far from the outlet.

twin monitoring is optional but we usually have the Toco module in stock — most buyers go with the 5mg or 10mg depending on your batch, so specify which Toco sensor you need or we'll send the standdard one (check lead time on twin cable, usually 2-4 weeks). anyway, the measurement range is 50-210 bpm which covers pretty much everything you'd see in a term fetus.

we order these in batches of 20 units or so, and the 2-year the electronics but not the transducer — that's a consumable item with roughly 12-18 months of continuous use before the gel starts degrading the crystal. a thing nobody tells you: the power connector is a proprietary barrel jack, so if someone loses the wall adapter you're ordering form us direct, no third-party alternative fits.
