They're the first thing you set up and honestly one of the most important parts of any scaffolding system, we've been sourcing these adjustable base jacks for years from our usual Q235 steel suplier and the consistency is pretty much always there, SGS and ISO certs just confirm what we already know from handling thousands of units.
What most buyers ask about first is the diameter range and we've got 30mm up to 48mm on the solid and hollow versions, the U-heads are a different animal though and those usually come with a 150×150mm base plate but you can get 120×120mm to 160×160mm depending on what your project needs, plate thickness is either 4mm, 5mm, or 6mm and the adjustable length runs from 400mm to 1000mm give or take.
You'll find them working best with ringlock, cuplock, or kwikstage systems and honestly teh hollow type with the 48mm diameter and hot dip galvanized finish is what most contractors go for when they're dealing with wet conditions or heavy loads, the thread type can be solid or hollow and the nut is either cast or forged which matters more for longevity than you'd think.
One thing we always point out is the EN74 and BS1139 compliance isn't just paperwork, it actually means the threads match up properly with standdard scaffolding components and you won't get that annoying wobble at the base, the black paint option is cheaper but it chips off after a few uses so electro galvanized is usually the better bet for anything you plan to reuse.
Lead time runs about 7 to 15 days from order and the MOQ is negotiable which is nice if you're just testing a small batch, we usually have stock on the 35mm solid jacks but the 48mm hollow ones might need a 20 day or so wait depending on the season, packging is either bulk loose or strapped to steel pallets which makes unloading at the job site way easier.
Also they're not really suited for permanent structrual loads beyond a certain height, so if you're planning a multi-story build you'll want to double-check the load specs with your engineer before committing to a large order.
Solid jacks are stronger and better for heavy loads, while hollow jacks are lighter and easier to handle. For Ringlock or Cuplock systems with high load demands, solid is usually the safer bet.
