We needed something that could handle the daily grind of moving patients between departments without constantly breaking down or making the ride uncomfortable, and the old trolleys we had were just not it anymore with their fixed heights and wobbly wheels.
What it does is give us a solid 170kg load capacty on a cold rolled steel and aluminum alloy frame that doesn't flex under pressrue, and the manual crank height adjustment from 510 to 850mm means our shorter and taller staff can both work without straining their backs, which is basically why we ordered it.
Backrest goes from flat to 70 degrees via a gas spring, so you can sit a patient up for transport without any jerky movements, and the 300mm high PP side rails have safety locks that actually hold firm — we've had issues with cheaper rails popping open mid-corridor. The five-wheel setup with four 150mm casters plus a central fifth wheel with shock absorption is what sold me, because it tracks straight and doesn't catch on door thresholds like the old four-wheelers do.
Specs-wise, the mattress is 25mm thick and waterproof with anti-static property, which is better than the standard foam pads we've been using, and the under-bed two-stage tray can hold about 10kg of drainage or supplies. Also, there's a rotatable oxygen cylinder holder 7L bottles, so we don't need a separate cart for that.
It's got CE, ISO13485, ISO9001, and FDA certs, which covers us for most hospital audits, and the warranty is one year standard but you can extend it (usually 2-4 weeks lead time on that). Not suited for bariatric patients over 170kg or for use as a surgery table, but for general transport it's pretty much fine.
We usually have stock on the blue standard color, but custom colors take about 20 days or so, and the MOQ for custom is 10 units. Anyway, the manual crank system is a bit more work than electric, but it's more relaible in long run and we don't have to worry about battery failures.
Standard lead time is 15-20 working days for blue units. Custom color orders may add 5-7 days.
