Premium Solid Brass Glass Clamp 50x50mm for 6-12mm Frameless Shower Enclosure Hardware

We needed something that could handle 6mm to 12mm glass without looking bulky, and the 50x50mm footprint on this clamp is pretty much what most commercial jobs call for — it's a rectangle, 5mm thick, with a 4-5mm clearance that keeps the panel off the wall just enough for a clean modern look. The solid brass construction means it won't corrode in a bathroom or hotel shower, which is basically the whole point when you're mounting a fixed panel that's going to see steam and water daily.

Most buyers go with the polished gold finish for standerd installs, but you've actually got brushed, matte black, oil-rubbed bronze, and PVD coating options if the spec calls for something else — we ordered the gold because of that it matches the rest of the hardware on this job. It's wall, ceiling, or floor mountable, so you're not locked into one orientation, and the bevel edge on the clamp gives it a slightly nicer profile than the flat ones.

The tolerance on teh glass thickness range is pretty tight — 6mm to 12mm — and it's designed specifically for monolithic tempered glass, not laminated or anything weird. We usually have stock on the 50x50 size, but confirm lead time if you need a custom color because that adds 20 days or so to the order.

What it does is secure a fixed panel without needing a full frame, so it's better than a basic U-channel for this application, but it's not suited for doors that swing open or for glass over 12mm thick. The clearance is fixed at 4-5mm (so about 0.16 to 0.2 inches), and you'll need proper glass fabrication — notched or drilled holes — because the clamp doesn't compensate for sloppy edges.

We've used this model before on a hotel bathroom job, and one thing you don't think to ask is that the screw heads are recessed enough to avoid snagging towels, but they're also not flush — there's maybe 1mm of protrusion, so it's fine for walls but not for a ceiling mount where you'd want a flat surfce.
