High-Quality DIN5299 Form B Snap Hook 5-12mm Stainless Steel/Carbon Steel for Industrial Use

We've been losing time to broken hardware on the job—snap hooks that seize up after a season of salt spray or snap under a load, usually when you need them most.

These hooks were basically the solution for that gap between cheap stamped hardware and over-engineered forged components, and they handle the wet-weather rigging and cold-weather handling we're dealing with. The tensile floor is 500 MPa, which is better than most general-purpose hooks at this size range, and the -40°C rating means they won't get brittle on winter jobs. What it does is give us a consistent breaking point—around 200 MPa yield—so our company can actually calculate safe working loads without guessing.

Just to clarify on the sizing: we're going with the 10x100mm version in stainlss 316 (usually 3-4 weeks lead time, but confirm), because the electro-galvanized carbon steel ones will rust where they rub against D-rings. 5 to 12mm diameter range covers our carabiners and webbing loops, though the 5mm wire is really too thin for anything heavier than an 8mm line or so. One detail most buyers don't think to check is the gate opening width—on the 12mm hook it's pretty tight, so it won't fit thick webbing slings comfortably.

MOQ is 1000 pieces, which is fine for our quarterly replenishment, but the 15-30 day lead time means we need to order a bit early to avoid a gap. They do offer OEM, but honestly for standard DIN5299 Form B we don't need custom branding—stock logos are fine for the bin. ISO 9001 and SGS certs are on file for our compliance binders.

(Check the batch tensile certs when they arrive—we had one shipment a few years back form another suppiler where the elongation ran under 40% and the hooks started cracking at the bend, so we're verifying before they go on the truck.) And working temp up to 400°C is pretty much irrelevant for us, but it means the carbon steel option can handle some hot-zone work without annealing.
