Actually decided to go with the CW-B0218E-G after looking at a few cheaper alternatives that just weren’t going to hold up on assembly line — we’ve seen too many cordless tools drop torque after a couple months, and this one’s 175N.m rating is pretty much what the guys need for M10 and M12 fasteners without burning out the motor.
It’s got a 1/4" chuck so it’ll take standard hex bits we already stock, and the no-load speed hits 2,300 rpm with 3,400 impacts per minute or so, which means our company can dial it down for lighter stuff and still have the punch for seized bolts. Battery capacty is 2.0Ah out of the box, but we’re ordering the 4.0Ah option since most buyers go with the higher runtime for continuous use — the 2.3A charger will top it up in about 20 days or so, give or take, depending on how deep you drain it.
It’s CE and RoHS compliant, which keeps compliance simple for us, and the materail is metal housing with PA6/ABS/PP on the handle, so it’ll take drops better than the all-plastic units we tried last year. The weight is 1.3kg without battery, and that’s actually a plus for overhead work — but it’s not suited for driving 16mm lag bolts into hardwood all day, that’s what our pneumatic rigs handle.
MOQ is 500 units and packaing is color box or custom, so we’ll go with the standard color box for this run and maybe revisit custom branding later. We usually have stock, but confirm lead time on the 4.0Ah batteries since those are sometimes backordered. Warranty is one year manufacurer, which is fine for the price point — most of these tools last longer than that anyway if you don’t abuse them.
The 2.3A charger handles 100-240V 50/60Hz, so it works across our facilities without issues, and the dimensoins are 158×71×200mm, which is small enough to fit in the tool crib drawers. One thing a buyer might not think to ask: the impact rate is variable, so you can feather the trigger for delicate fasteners without stripping them — that’s something the cheap fixed-speed units can’t do.
