We’ll cut these to your batch length and AWG (8 through 24) with either solid or stranded tin-plated copper — everyone’s under-vehicle runs are different, so we keep the MOQ flexible at 500 meters or so. PVC jacket hits 80°C rated and 60V DC (25V AC) which is fine for interior harness work, but it won't hold up next to an exhaust manifold or any high-heat zone.

Basically, the conductor diameters shrink from 3.80mm on the 8AWG down to 0.61mm on the 24AWG (used for sensor loops and low-current signals) and the wall thickness changes with it — that 0.55mm insulation on the heavy stuff drops to 0.40mm on the thin. Most buyers go with the stranded for flexibility in tight dash panels, but solid is an option if you need a stiff bus bar run.

Also, we run this under SAE J1128 so it’s consistent on tensile and elongation form spool to spool — you’ll get a COA on the lot. It’s RoHS and REACH compliant (which is a given these days), but what it honestly isn’t suited for is any AC mains work or environments where you’ve got continuous flexing below -20°C; the PVC stiffens up.

The corrosion resisance from the tin plating is better than bare copper for salt spray (think farm truck or military ground vehicle), and it makes soldering terminals quick — you don’t need aggressive flux. One thing you wouldn’t think to ask: teh OD on the 14AWG (2.70mm) is squat enough to fit into most factory Grommets without bonding on the pull.

For bulk orders, we usually keep raw PVC compound in stock, so typical lead time is 2-3 weeks, but (check lead time) if you’re asking for 24AWG in a custom color stripe or a foil shield wrap, that pushes to 30 days. We ship it on returnable wooden spools (you get a deposit back) or on consumer cardboard bobbins for smaller runs — just specify at quote.
MOQ is typically 100 units for standard configurations, but we can adjust for custom orders—just reach out with your specs.
Yes, every order includes a certificate of compliance showing SAE J1128 conformance, plus RoHS, ISO9001, and Reach docs if needed.
We stick to the 24-8 AWG range for this model. If you need something outside that, we'd need to discuss a custom design.
Lead time runs about 3-4 weeks for 500 units, but it can vary a bit with current production load—we'll confirm when you place the order.
The PVC pipe protection is standard for this harness and not designed to be removable. If you need a different protection type, we can talk custom options.
