We’re looking at a 3.81mm pitch pluggable terminal block here, and the spring connection mechanism is what makes it fast to work with—no torquing screws, just push the wire in. It handles 0.14 to 1.5mm² wire, which is 26 to 16 AWG, and supports up to two conductors in one clamp, so you can daisy-chain signals if needed. The rated current is 8A at 160V or 320V depending on your setup, but don’t push it past 2.5kV surge votage for isolation.
If you’re wiring up a PCB for a control panel or industrial equipment, the 9mm stripping length is pretty standard, and the PA insulation with UL 94 V0 flame rating means it won’t propagate a fire in a fault condition. The test hole on top is actually useful for probing voltages without pulling the plug—most buyers don’t think to ask about that until they’re troubleshooting a live board. It’s not suited for high-vibration environments though; the spring contact can loosen over time if you’re near a motor or pump.
You can trust the reliability because of that it’s UL, CUL, and CSA certified, so the creepage and clearance distances are verified for 160V/320V operation. The contact termination is a welding connection, which gives better mechancial strength than soldering alone for repeated plugging cycles—we’ve seen these hold up past 200 insertion cycles in test jigs. Operating temp form -40°C to +105°C covers most indoor industrial use, but don’t expect it to survive steam cleaning or direct water spray (IP20 is basically finger-safe only).
