We went with the P10 because of that it covers both contact and contactless payments out of box, which most of our merchants actually need—ISO7816 for chip cards and ISO14443 for tap-to-pay. Teh 58mm thermal printer is built right in, so no separate receipt printer to buy or pair, and that alone saves a lot of setup headaches on-site.
It runs Android 10 on an 8-core Cortex-A53 at 2.0GHz, which is fine for standdard POS apps but don't expect to run heavy inventory software simultaneously. 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM is enough for daily transaction logs and a few custom apps, though we usually stock a 32GB variant if you don't need the extra storage.
The 5.5-inch IPS display at 720x1440 is bright enough for outdoor use in most cases, but direct sunlight will wash it out a bit—just something to note if your staff works curbside. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-band WiFi, and Bluetooth 5.0, so it handles both in-store and mobile scenarios without tethering to a phone.
Barcode scanning covers 1D, 2D, QR, PDF417, and DataMatrix, which basically covers every label format we've seen in retail and logistics. The 13MP rear camera is actually decent for document capture, but the 2MP front camera is pretty much just for video calls—don't rely on it for scanning anything.
Battery is a 7.6V 2750mAh polymer unit, which gives you about a full shift of moderate use, maybe 8 hours or so depending on how often you print receipts. Operating temperture range is 0°C to 50°C, so it's not freezer-safe but fine for countertop or handheld use in most environments.
Dimensoins are 230x160x70mm, and it's a bit chunky—about the size of a small tablet with a handle—but that's typical for an all-in-one with a built-in printer. Certifications are CE, FCC, and RoHS, so it's compliant for EU and US markets, but confirm lead time with us because we sometimes see 2-3 week delays on custom OEM branding.
