When you're building out a new hydraulic line for a 5,000 PSI press system and need a leak-tight connection that won't blow apart under peak load—those SAE O-ring and JIC flare fittings we carry are what most buyers go with. We've seen a lot of shops try cheaper threaded-only connectors and regret it.
These run up to 6000 PSI on the pressure side—usually the 74° cone seal handles the higher end better—and the temperture range holds steady from -20°C to 120°C (check your specific fluid compatibilty though). Matrial is either carbon steel or stainless, surface treatment is galvanized or plain depending on what you need for corrosion resisance. The threads? Metric, BSP, or NPT. We machine them to tight tolerances (HPLC-level precision isn't game here, but it's better than standard pipe fittings for sure).
They're fine for industrial hydraulic systems—mobile equipment, presses, injection molders—but don't use them for high-vibration hose whip applications without a lock wire or retainer; the O-ring can shift if it's not secured. Basically, if your system sees constant 500 PSI cycling or sudden presure spikes, these hold fine—it's the steady 100 PSI line where you might get away with cheaper stuff anyway.
