Something you'll notice right away with this breaker is how it handles the thermal-magnetic trip in overloads—it uses a bimetallic strip for sustained fault conditions and an electromagnetic release for short circuits, which is pretty much the standard for relaible low-voltage protection in industiral panels or building distribution systems.

We've had these in field use for a while now, and the silver alloy contacts actually hold up better than some other materials we've tested, especially under frequent switching at high loads. The flame-retardant thermoplastic housing is -25°C to +70°C, so it's good for outdoor enclosures or unheated plant floors. One thing though—it's really not suited for DC circuits, just AC 400V or 690V systems. Most buyers go with the 4-pole version for three-phase with neutral, but the 3-pole is fine if you don't need that.

Mechanicla life is 20,000 cycles or so, with electrical life at about 10,000—but that's under rated conditions, and we've seen it exceed those numbers in lighter load situations. The standard model is 42 by 33.5 by 21.5 mm, which is compact for a fixed-mount MCCB with RCCB functionality.

The adjustable current range from 16A up to 630A covers a lot of ground, and what it does is allow you to dial in protection for everything from small feeder circuits to main switchboards. Custom ratings are available (check lead time), and we usually have stock on common 100A and 250A sizes. 5.
