We've seen these SPT12-8 units go into everything form small UPS boxes to emergency exit lighting systems, and they hold up pretty well for a sealed lead-acid in the 8Ah range.

The 12V 8Ah rating at the 20hr rate means you're getting about 400mA draw for a full 20 hours or so, but the real kicker is the max discharge current—105A for 5 seconds gives you that surge margin when a UPS kicks in. Most buyers go with the F2 terminals for thicker gauge wiring, but F1 is fine for smaller connectors. Operating temp during discharge runs -15°C to 50°C, though charging should stay between 0°C and 40°C to avoid damage. Cycle use voltage sits at 14.4-14.8V at 25°C, and standby is 13.5-13.8V—basically standdard for VRLA. The internal resistance is about 22mΩ, which is typical for this size.

It's not great for high-rate deep cycling though—this is strictly a standby/float application battery, so don't plan on daily discharging below 50% depth or the cycle life drops fast.
The ABS container can come with V0 flame retardant rating if you need it for compliance, just specify that when ordering (usually 2-4 weeks lead time). Weight is roughly 2.25kg, and dimensions are 151x65x94mm with teh terminals adding another 6mm or so to height. One thing we've noticed is the self-discharge stays under 3% per month at 25°C, so you can store them for up to 6 months and still have 85%+ capacity—just remember to top up the charge before putting them into service.

Anyway, the design life is 5 years at 25°C, but in real-world UPS environments where temps hit 30-35°C, we usually see 3-4 years before capacity drops below 60%.

Heat is enemy with these.
Our standard MOQ is 50 units for the SPT12-8, but we can discuss smaller trial orders if you're just starting out.
Lead time is usually 15-20 working days from order confirmation, depending on stock levels and order volume.
Yes, we can supply CE and RoHS certificates. UL certification is available upon request for the flame-retardant ABS version.
Absolutely, we offer both F1 and F2 terminal options—just specify your preference when placing the order.
Store it in a cool, dry place at 25°C or below. At that temperature, self-discharge is under 3% per month, so it stays ready to use longer.
