We're ordering the YTM/YHP/YMPS series for the coal mill drives at Plant 3, specifically the 160 to 1800kW range with the 3kV option since that's what our step-down transformers feed—basically a standard heavy-duty squirrel cage rotor in an IMB3 mount with welded steel plate frame, pretty much what you'd expect for continuous S1 duty in a power station enviornment.
These come with IP54 protection on both the terminal box and the main enclosure, which is actually tighter than some older units we've replaced that were only IP44, and for the cooling we're going with the IC611 air-air method (usually the standard) but they confirmed the IC81W air-water is availble as a drop-in if we ever need it down the line—frame sizes span 400 to 800mm so they should bolt right onto our existing foundations.
They're not really suited for variable speed drives without external inverters since these are fixed-pole squirrel cage motors with 6, 8, or 10 poles depending on what the mill's required RPM is, and we spec'ed the F class insulation with the option to upgrade to H if the ambient spikes above the standard 40°C upper limit we typically run at.

We can typically ship a 1800kW unit in 10–12 weeks after order confirmation, depending on current production load. Custom specs like sleeve bearings may add a week or two.
Yes, IP54 is standard on both the motor and terminal box. If you need extra dust protection, we can upgrade the terminal box to IP55 or even IP56 on request.

For YMPS motors in popular frame sizes, MOQ is 2 units. For larger frames above 800mm or non-standard voltage like 6kV, we ask for 5 units minimum to keep production efficient.
We wrap them in VCI paper, seal in a polyethylene bag with desiccant, and secure them on a heavy-duty wooden skid. For storage over 6 months, we recommend rotating the shaft every 90 days to prevent bearing brinelling.
