We had a line go down last quarter because the previous motor couldn't handle the startup load on a conveyor system, and that's basically what pushed us to order this one.

It's a single-phase induction motor with 4 poles and a cast iron casing, and the auto-induction votage-reduced start is what we needed to avoid tripping breakers—the open type casing means it's not sealed, so you'll need to keep it in a clean area or add your own enclosure.

The speed is customizable, so you can dial it in for your specific load, but it's not suited for wet or dusty environments because of that open protection type; most buyers go with the black finish, but we're getting grey to match the rest of gear (usually 2-4 weeks lead time on custom colors).

Anyway, the noise level is low and effiency is high, which is better than the old unit we had, and the 1-year the basics.
