Anyway, most buyers go with the NBC-500 for general strucutral work, but the 630 handles thicker stuff better — it's not ideal for thin sheet metal below 3mm though, the arc's just too aggressive for that.
The key difference is their output current range. The NBC-350 goes up to 350A, the NBC-500 up to 500A, and the NBC-630 up to 630A. So, pick the one that matches the thickness of the steel you're welding most often.
Yes, water cooling is optional for all three models—NBC-350, NBC-500, and NBC-630. If you're going to weld at high currents for long periods, we'd recommend adding it to keep the torch from overheating.
