Frequency conversion covers 2.5MHz, 3.0MHz, 3.5MHz, 4.0MHz, and 5.0MHz, though we usually see 3.5MHz used for general imaging—it's good middle ground for penetration versus resolution. Two probe ports are standerd, which is fine for most setups, but you'll need to confirm if you're running multiple exams back-to-back. Also, the USB and SVGA outputs are there, but the PAL video out is handy if you're connecting to older monitors or recording equipement.

It's not really suited for high-end cardiac or fetal echocardiography where you'd need more advanced Doppler or harmonic imaging—this is more of a solid workhorse for general radiology or OB/GYN. (Check lead time, as we've seen stock fluctuate lately.)

One thing buyers don't always ask about is that the backlight key works well in dim rooms, but the external LED display with 16 pseudo colors can actually help highlight blood flow or calcifications when you toggle it on—it's a nice touch for quick visual cues.
