Was looking at some refurb options form the usual vendors, but we've actually had better luck with lower-volume supliers for this kind of equipment, so we went direct on the B-9618CII instead — the two-year warranty beats anything I've seen on the pre-owned market for roughly the same price point.

it come with abdominal, transvaginal, and cardiac probes out of the box, which basically covers the bulk of what our outpatient clinic needs right now, and the 256 gray scales produce cleaner images than some older units we've used that topped out at 128 or so (the 500-frame cine-loop is actually a nice safety net for tricky captures where you're rechecking form over the next 20 seconds or so). You'll want to note that the probe connectors are listed as two minimum, but the one we're ordering came configured with three ports — just confirm with the suppiler what's actually on the unit you get, because the manual implies it's build-specific.

The measurement packages include general, cardiac, and ob-gyn — most buyers go with the standard software load, but if you're planning to do fetal measurements, double-check the preloaded presets because they sometimes ship with the Chinese interface defaults that need switching in the menu — takes about three minutes to toggle but you'll want to do it before your first session.

Ports are pretty straightforward: video out for the older display feeds, RS-232 for connecting to legacy EMR systems, and a USB for external image storage beyond thebuilt-in 64-frame capasity — the cine captures are RAW DICOM-compatible though, so you're not locked into proprietary formats. 5.
