You're trying to get decent imaging in a busy clinic or small hospital, but the big cart-based systems are too heavy to move around or take up too much space. We've got a lot of doctors who need something they can actually roll between exam rooms without breaking a sweat—the 9.5kg weight and compact 49×24×40cm footprint make it pretty much a for that.
What it does is use single crystal composite technology in the probe—basically 80 elements that give you better tissue detail than older piezo crystals, especially at depth. The 12.1" LED screen at 1024×768 resolution is clear enough for abdominal and OB/GYN work, though you'll want to check the ambient lighting if you're doing cardiac in a bright room—glare can be an issue.
You get one active probe connector that's extendable, so you can swap between convex, linear, trans-vaginal, or micro-convex depending on the exam. Frequency range runs 2.0 to 9.0MHz depending on which probe you pick—most buyers go with the convex for general use, but the trans-vaginal is better for early OB. Storage is 8GB, which holds about 50 full exams or so before you need to offload.
It's got CE, EEC, and ISO13485 certs, so you're covered for most regulatory requrement—but it's not suited for surgical guidance or intraoperative use, just diagnostic scanning. The lithium battery gives you about 2 hours of continuous use, which is usually enough for a morning round, but confirm lead time if you need the AC adapter shipped seprately.
Supply notes: we usually have stock on the DW-580, but the convex probe can run 2-3 weeks backorder depending on batch. MOQ is one unit, and we include teh OB/GYN measurement package as standdard—cardiac and andrology packages are optional add-ons (check when ordering).
We can start with just 1 unit for sample orders, but for bulk orders, the MOQ is typically 10 pieces. Let us know your volume, and we can discuss flexibility.
