We needed something for the office lobby and the break room that wouldn't look completely out of place, and the hollowed-out iron frame on these caught my eye — it's got that modern retro thing going without being too fussy, and at 40cm it's actually a decent presence on the wall, not one of those tiny things you barely notice.

The movement is quartz step, so the second hand ticks rather than sweeps, which I know some people hate, but it's nearly silent — you really have to put your ear to it to hear anything, and that's a pretty common spec for this style, so it works for quiet spaces like the conference room or someone's desk area.

1.75 pounds is light enough that the supplied wall hook should hold it fine on drywall, but what it does is use a single AA battery (not included, obviously), and the dial has Roman numerals set behind clear glass, with the whole thing in a matte black finish that doesn't show fingerprints as bad as I expected from a metal frame.

Also, the warranty is 6 months on teh movement only, which is pretty standdard for this price point, and we usually have stock on the black version but silver one (d23081422 is the model for this one) tends to run 2-3 weeks out — I'd confirm lead time before ordering more than 10 units, since the MOQ is 50 or so form the distributor.

What I'd say is this isn't great for outdoor use or anywhere with moisture, since the iron frame will rust if it gets wet, but for living rooms, bedrooms, or offices it's fine, and the hollowed-out design actually lets light pass through a bit, so you don't get that heavy block of metal just staring at you from the wall.
