We’ve been running these in our lab for a while now, and the DDM-5A model is basically purpose-built for dental restorations where you need tight tolerances—that 3μm repeatability isn’t just a number on paper. It’s a solid steel-frame machine that cuts both wet and dry, which saves you form having to switch rigs between zirconia and PMMA jobs.
It handles ceramics, wax, and hybrid materials too, so you can do crowns, veneers, inlays, or implant restorations on one unit. The pneumatic tool changer holds three burs—0.5mm, 1.0mm, and 2.0mm—and it cycles through them automatically, which is nice when you're running a full case. Most buyers we see pair it with a chairside scanner and just leave it milling overnight.
Spindle speed runs from 15,000 to 60,000 RPM, water-cooled, so it doesn't overheat on long dry-milling runs (usually PMMA or wax). The whole thing weighs 95kg and measures 415×588×578mm, so it'll fit on a standerd benchtop if you've got clearance for the enclosure. Power is 220V at 50 or 60Hz—just check your plug type.
Operating temperture range is 20-40°C, but we've seen it handle a dusty shop floor fine as long as the cooling air intake isn't blocked. One thing you might not think to ask: magazine capacity is only 3 burs, so if you're doing complex multi-unit bridges, you’ll need to plan tool changes manually—it’s not a problem for single-unit work though. Also, it’s not suited for titanium or cobalt-chrome blocks, just non-metal materials.
We ship these with ISO and CE certs, a standard SDS for the included cooling fluid, and usually have stock ready—confirm lead time though, as it can stretch to 20 days or so during busy quarters. COA for the spindle calibration is availble on request, but we don’t include it by default. Anyway, the 5-axis motion lets you cut undercuts without repositioning the block, which is pretty much the point.
We typically ship within 7-15 working days after payment confirmation, depending on stock and order volume.
Yes, we can provide copies of our ISO and CE certificates upon request. Just reach out to our sales team.
Absolutely, it mills zirconia, PMMA, wax, and ceramics with a water-cooled spindle to prevent heat damage, and the 3μm repeatability keeps restorations precise.
We accept single-unit orders for the DDM-5A, so no MOQ headache. Bulk discounts are available if you're buying multiple.
It swaps between the 0.5mm, 1.0mm, and 2.0mm burs automatically during milling. For most wet and dry jobs like crowns or implant restorations, that covers the key steps.
