Basically what you're getting is a polyester cord that replaces steel bands for strapping heavy loads, and it's actually safer to handle because there are no sharp edges into boxes or hands. You wrap it around pallets or crates, tension it, and it holds like steel but weighs less than 20% of what iron sheet would — so shiping costs drop and nobody's wrestling with heavy metal.
The 13mm wide CS13L breaks at 240kgf and comes in 1100m coils, while the 25mm CS25L handles 440kgf with 500m per coil, and all four models share a 200mm core diameter (usually 2-4 weeks delivery). Tensile strength is comparable to steel, but it won't rust or rot even in weather from -40°C to 130°C, and it doesn't permanently deform after folding.
We've found most buyers use these for export packaing, construction materials, or heavy machinery crating where corrosion would ruin metal straps. It's not suited for food-grade binding or anything requiring sterile conditions — teh plastic granules and yarn aren't certified for that. The strong linearity and system tension mean it stays tight without creeping, which is better than common polypropylene straps for this.
Custom options are avaliable if you need different widths or colors, though the CS models listed are what we keep in stock. MOQ varies by model but typically starts around 50 coils or so, and we ship with CE certifcation and COAs on request. The 16mm width is pretty much sweet spot for general use — 310kgf break strength, 850m coils, and it handles most pallet loads without overkill.
