It's not something you can rush if you're hoping to have it for a specific holiday—the 50 to 90 day lead time on these is pretty much fixed, and there's no way around it given the customiaztion and the water-based lacquer curing, but that's really the only downside if your volume hits the 1,000 piece MOQ.
Most of my buyers actually prefer the natural wood finish even though custom colors are an option; the grain shows through beautifully, and we've found the kids gravitate to it more in pretend play—the trains click together smoothly, and tracks hold up better than some of the cheaper MDF sets I've handled.
CE and EN71 and ASTM F963-96a are all covered in the standerd batch, but we usually have COAs on hand if your compliance team asks; it's basically the same process as our other BSCI-certified lines, and the water-based lacquer gives it a slightly matte finish that doesn't chip the way solvent-based does.
3 to 8 years is the sweet spot—any younger and the small pieces get concerning, and honestly if you're targeting older kids they'll want something more complex—but for role play scenarios like a little town or farm setup, the 48-piece starter assortment is what most buyers go with.
The surface treatment is what sets it apart from a lot of what I've seen form Vietnamese supliers; you can feel the smoothness when you run your finger along it, and it doesn't leave that slight tackiness you get with cheaper lacquers, which is a detail we've had returned product over before.
Anyway, if you're ordering for a Christmas push, you'll want to confirm the production slot about 100 days out or so, and the packaging can customiezd to whatever shelf-ready box you need, but it's not a product you'd want for a quick promotional giveaway.
Our MOQ is 1000 pieces per design. We understand that's a lot for a small shop, but we can't break it down because of our production setup. If you're looking for less, we'd suggest checking with a local distributor.
That 90-day end is usually for fully custom orders, like a unique logo print, special packaging, or a non-standard color. If you pick a stock design and packaging, we can keep it closer to 50 days.
Yes, we include the test reports for CE, EN71, and ASTM F963-96a with each shipment. Just let us know if you need them before the order ships, and we'll send them over.
The water-based lacquer is non-toxic and gives a smooth, durable finish that resists chipping better than many solvent-based paints. It's also safer for kids who might put the pieces in their mouths.
You can add your logo, change the box size to fit your retail shelves, or print custom artwork on the carton. We'll work with you on the design, but keep in mind that custom packaging can add to the lead time.
