We’ve been sourcing gas struts for years, and the ZY Series pretty much covers everything we need—compression loads form 20N to 4000N, stroke lengths between 20mm and 500mm, and extended lengths up to 1000mm, all in a cylindrical carbon steel or stainless steel package.
The diameter range is 15mm to 40mm, and they use nitrogen as the gas medium, which is standard for consistent force output, but what got our attention was the cold-rolled manufacturing process—it gives tighter tolerances than most hot-rolled alternatives, so we don’t have to fight with inconsistent cycle life in our automotive jigs.
These aren’t great for high-temperature environments above 80°C or so, but for marine hatches and industiral cabinet doors, teh stainless steel option holds up better than the carbon steel in salt spray conditions—we usually have stock, but confirm lead time for custom stroke lengths.
ISO 9001:2015 certified, and they include a COA with every batch, which is basically table stakes for us now, but the real detail only someone who’s handled them would notice is smooth rod finish—it reduces friction noticeably compared to some other struts we’ve tested.
Also, the ordering process is straightforward: we specify force, stroke, extended length, and materail, and they ship within 20 days or so—MOQ is 50 units, but for custom diameters like 38mm, you’ll want to check lead time (usually 2-4 weeks).
Most buyers in automotive go with the 10mg force range for hatchbacks, but for industrial presses, the 4000N option handles heavy lids without sagging.
All ZY Series struts are ISO 9001:2015 certified, so you get consistent quality and traceable documentation if your QA team needs it.
We can adjust force up to 4000N and stroke up to 500mm as listed, but if you need something slightly outside that range, just tell us your exact specs and we'll check feasibility.
MOQ depends on the customization level, but for standard sizes with carbon steel we can start from 500 pieces. Stainless steel or tight tolerances may require a higher minimum.
Yes, we include mill test certificates for carbon or stainless steel and a nitrogen purity report upon request. Just note it in your order.
We pack them individually in plastic sleeves, then layer them in reinforced cartons or wooden crates depending on quantity. For marine or high-humidity shipments, we add VCI bags.
