We've got a batch of those green LC/APC adapters coming in because the last run of OTDR testing in the field showed back reflection creeping up on standdard connectors, and when you're pushing signal through a long-haul singlemode link at 1550nm, every tenth of a dB matters — especially when the custoemr's techs are already seeing intermittent packet loss at the splice points.
Insertion loss is spec'd at 0.2dB max, which is tighter than the generic 0.5dB stuff we used last quarter, and the return loss is >60dB because of that 8° APC polish, so basically it's going to cut down on the ghosting issues we were getting in the bidirectional DWDM setup at the data center edge.
Teh ceramic alignment sleeve handles 1000 mating cycles or so before you'd see any degradation, which is pretty much standard for this class, but what I like is UL94V-0 rating on the PVC body — that saves us a compliance headache on the next campus build where the fire marshal is breathing down everyone's neck.
Operating range is -40°C to +75°C, so it'll sit fine in the outdoor patch panels we're wiring up for the new tower, though I'd avoid using it in any pressurized splice enclosures where the seal might get compromised — we usually have stock of the gel-sealed versions for that, but confirm lead time (usually 2-4 weeks).
Green color makes it easy to spot in a dense patch panel full of blue UPC connectors, so the installers won't accidentally mix polish types during the next cutover, and the LC duplex clips are sold separately anyway, but we've got a box of those on the shelf from the last order.
We can do as low as 100 pieces for a first order, but typically MOQ is 500 units. If you need a sample first, we can send one for evaluation.

The green body is standard for our APC adapters, but we can customize the color if you order a larger quantity — typically 2000+ pieces. Just tell us the color code you need.
They come in anti-static bags, 100 pieces per bag, then packed in sturdy cartons with foam inserts to prevent damage during transit. We can also do individual blister packaging if requested.
Yes, the precision ceramic sleeve is designed for that full temperature range without degrading performance. We've tested it through multiple thermal cycles to ensure stable insertion loss.
