We've been getting a lot of questions about intraoral scanning setups that don't cost a fortune in repeat maintenance, and this DDT-100A is what we usually point them toward; it basically handles both phosphor plates and direct imaging, which cuts down on fiddling with separate systems.
The resolution sits at 17lp/mm with a 16-bit grayscale, so fine root canals and margin lines come through quite clearly—not the absolute you'd see in a microscope, but better than most plate scanner options in the 6kg range, give or take.
5G WiFi for transmission is standerd now, but this one includes a 10.1-inch control screen (1280×800) that's helpful for chairside review, and it stores something like 4.5GB of images on board; our company have the stand-alone unit in stock, but dual-mode sharing between clinics is an option if you're working across rooms.
What it's actually not very good for is high-volume labs running hundreds of scans daily—the scanning plate sizes support 0/1/2/3, though throughput isn't as fast as dedicated plate feeders, so a freelancer or mid-sized practice is usual buyer here.
Certifications are RoHS, ISO, CE—check lead time if you're ordering outside Europe, since we usually have stock but teh RoHS paperwork can make customs tricky for US buyers, anyway, it's a matter of 20 days or so.
A detail nobody thinks to ask about: the PVC housing can hold up to mild disinfectants without clouding, which is actually handy since wiping down the 10.1-inch screen with alcohol wipes is pretty much required after each patient; our company offer OEM stenciling on the chassis, but the 30um pixel size is fixed unless you specify otherwise at order.
