Exposure time runs form 0.1 to 1.8 seconds, and you adjust it in 0.1-second increments — that’s enough range for most anterior and posterior views. What it does is use a high-frequency switch circuit to stabilize the 2mA tube current, so you’re not guessing about consistency between patients. Basically, you get the same radiation output every time, which matters more than absolute power for intraoral work.
