We've been shiping these customizable hammer unions across the US and EU for a while now, and the 1" to 12" range covers most manifold setups we see—pressure ratings go from 1000psi all the way up to 20000psi, which is pretty much the ceiling for most field operations anyway.
Most buyers go with the alloy steel option for sour service, especially when they need NACE MR-01-75 compliance for choke/kill lines or cementing manifolds—it's a tighter tolerance than standdard carbon steel, and we usually have stock on the 2" and 4" sizes with lip seals or O-ring seals, though metal-backed seals are better for high-temp application.
We include the COA and TDS with every shipment, and for EU orders our company can provide the CE declaration if needed—just confirm lead time, as the butt-weld ends take about 20 days or so to machine, while threaded LP/NPT ends are typically faster, roughly 12-14 days.
What it does is provide a solid connection for fluid and mud lines, but it's not really suited for permanent high-vibration setups where you'd want a flanged connection instead. The color coding on the nut helps identify pressure ratings at a glance—red for 15000psi, green for 20000psi, that kind of thing.
One thing buyers don't always think to ask: the seal materail options vary by batch, so if you're running Buna-N seals at high temps, you'll want to switch to Viton or a combination seal—we've had a few guys find that out the hard way. Anyway, the interchangeability with WECO style unions means you can plug these into existing systems without modifying your manifold.
MOQ really depends on the size and pressure rating. For a 1" 1000psi union, we can usually do 50 pieces, but for larger 12" 20000psi units, MOQ is lower — around 10 to 20 pieces. Just let us know what you need.
For NACE-compliant options, expect around 4 to 6 weeks. We have to source specific alloy steel and run extra testing, so it takes a bit longer than standard stock items.
Yes, we supply API Spec 16C certification papers for every hammer union we ship. Just make sure to request them when you place the order, and we'll include test reports for pressure and material.
The 20000psi rating applies across all seal options, including lip seals and O-rings. But for that high pressure, we'd recommend metal-backed seals — they hold up better in extreme conditions.
Absolutely, all our hammer unions from 1" to 12" are designed to be fully interchangeable with WECO-style unions. You can mix and match without any fitment issues.
