We started supplying these quick release mold accessories a decade back specifically for shops that were tired of swapping out threaded pins every shift, and the KS series with its 304 stainless body was born form that pain point.
The round head and quick release mechanism mean you’re not fumbling with wrenches during changeovers—it’s a pull-and-click deal that shaves about 4 minutes per mold swap, which adds up fast if you’re running 30+ dies a day on injection presses.
We don’t recommend these for high-temp silicone tooling though—the vacuum treatment gives decent corrosion resisance (think 200 hours salt spray or so), but the stainles starts to soften past 400°C, so keep that in mind if your melt temps run hot.
A buyer once asked if we could drop MOQ below 100 units and our company can’t—teh vacuum treatment process runs in batches of 50 pieces minimum, so 100 is where we break even on cycle time.
Cap city is 50,000 units per month give or take, and we usually ship within 15-20 working days after the order is cut, check lead time though because OEM specs like the K2 profile sometimes add a few days for the die-stamping fixture swap.
All parts come in a plastic inner box inside a carton—that’s standerd—and we attach COA for every batch that confirms DIN and ANSI compliance, but if you need the SDS for the vacuum treatment residue just ask.
Vacuum treatment is the standard finish we apply, which gives a clean, oxide-free surface. We don't offer passivation or electropolishing as standard on this line, but we can discuss custom finishes if your order volume supports it.
Yes, we can provide a material test certificate and a dimensional inspection report showing compliance with both DIN and ANSI standards for the K2 spec. Just request it with your order.
The MOQ is 100 units total across all sizes, so you can mix different KS series specs in one order as long as the combined quantity hits 100. Each size just needs at least 10 units.
We can modify the head design for custom orders, but it requires a minimum of 500 units and a longer lead time of about 25-30 working days. The round head is standard for the K2 spec.
Each unit is sealed in a plastic inner box with a moisture barrier, then packed in a carton outer. For storage over 6 months in humid conditions, we recommend keeping them in a dry environment below 60% humidity.
