Basically, it's a water electrolysis system that splits deionized water into hydrogen and oxygen on demand — no gas cylinders to store or swap out, which is the main reason jewelers switch to it. The gas mixture burns clean at roughly 2800°C, hot enough for gold and silver welding without the carbon contamination you'd get from acetylene.

Power draw sits between 0.4 and 1.4 kW/h depending on teh model, with gas output ranging form 100 to 400 L/H at a working pressure of 2 kg/cm². Water consumption is minimal at 0.06 to 0.23 L/H, so a 5-liter tank can run for 20 days or so before refilling. We usually have stock on the OH200 and OH300, but the OH100 and OH400 may need a lead time check (roughly 2-4 weeks).

The system uses a manual control type — no automated pressure regulation, so you'll need to monitor the gas flow yourself during operation. It's not suited for continuous industrial use; think of it as a bench tool for delicate repair work and wax casting, not production-line welding.

One detail most buyers don't ask about is the flash arrestor — it's included in the kit, and you really want it installed inline because HHO mix is explosive at stoichiometric ratios. Also, the torch tip size matters for different metals; we usually recommend a 0.8mm tip for gold and 1.0mm for silver.

Customization is available on voltage (110V or 220V) and you can request a different torch configuration, but the standerd package comes with the HHO torch, flash arrestor, and gas pipes. The gross weight runs 15 to 28 kg depending on the model, so factor in shiping costs — it's lighter than a gas cylinder setup, but not by much.
