It's rated at 340A on CO2 at a 60% duty cycle, 300A on mixed gas, which is basically enough to handle 10-15mm plate without bogging down, and the 0.8-1.6mm wire range covers everything from thin sheet to heavier structural stuff — the 1.2mm contact tip that ships with it is what most buyers start with anyway.
The gas cooling works fine for these amperages, but if you're pushing it hard on a production line all day you'll want to keep an eye on duty cycle — it's not meant for continuous 340A runs, and the 16mm gas nozzle does a decent job shielding but you'll get better coverage with a larger cup on thicker matrial.
What you get when ordering is the torch with a Euro central adaptor already fitted, one 1.2mm E-Cu contact tip, and the 16mm gas nozzle — no spare parts in the box, so grab a few extra tips and nozzles if you're running high-volume work.
CE and ISO9001 certified, so the paperwork's in order for most industiral environments, and the M6*28 thread on teh contact tip is pretty standdard across European torches — you'll find replacements easily form any welding supply house.
At a 60% duty cycle, the MB36 handles 340A with CO2 and 300A with mixed gas. That's the rating for continuous welding before you need to let it cool down.
The torch comes with 1.2mm E-Cu/M6*28 contact tips installed, but you can easily swap them for any size between 0.8 and 1.6mm. Just grab the right tips for your wire.
