Pricing for the ZH-50S runs roughly $12,000–$15,000 for a sample unit, $10,500–$12,500 for mid-volume orders of 5–10 units, and under $10,000 for bulk— we’ve seen customers lock in at about $9,200 for 20+ machines (check lead time though, as steel costs fluctuate). That’s a solid half the price of comparable semi-automatic cartoners from European supliers for a machine actually built with 304 stainlss throughout—not just the frame.
A buyer with mixed box sizes from 40–200mm in length and variable paper weights will find this pretty much handles everything without mechanicla changes; what it does is adapt via the PLC touch screen, which is actually easier to dial in than the old cam-based systems. Keep in mind the 2.5KW motor pulls 380V three-phase, so you’ll need that on-site, and air consumption sits at 150L/min at 0.5–0.8MPa—most shops already have those.
It’s good for mid-speed lines doing 20–50 cartons per minute, but it’s not suited for high-volume production above 60 cpm; a full automatic would serve you better there, but for R&D batches or short runs, this hits sweet spot. We usually have stock, but confirm lead time—20 days or so for standard units, sometimes quicker.
You can trust the build because all touch-point surfaces are 304 SS, and the noise stays below 80dB, which isn’t always the case with cartoners that rattle from poorly guided chain drives. One detail a buyer might not think to ask: the hot melt glue unit has a separate temperature controller, so it won’t scorch the paper if you pause the line for a few minutes—common sense to us, but not all machines do that.
The MOQ for custom hot melt or mechanical seal configurations is typically 5 units, but for the standerd model the flexibility is there—just send a PO and we’ll ship. So it’s basically a workhorse that’s cheaper to run than you’d think, given the PLC-backed diagnostics cut downtime by preventing jam ups you’d otherwise only spot when boxes pile up.
