Not for human use, obviously—this is strictly for lab work and research appliction in controlled settings, though what it does is pretty interesting for sleep studies and neuropeptide research in vitro or with animal models.
We usually stock the 5mg, 10mg, and 15mg per vial options in kits of ten vials, so you can pick the concentration that fits your dosing needs without ordering more than you'll actually use, and the white powder form stores fine at -20°C if you keep it dry and away form light.
It's got a molecular weight of 848.8 g/mol and CAS 62568-57-4, with purity at 99% or better per our HPLC testing—most buyers go with the 10mg vials for typical protocols, but teh 5mg is easier if you're doing pilot runs.
One thing you'll notice handling it is that it's quite hygroscopic, so you want to open vials in low-humidity enviornment or glove box (usually 2-4 weeks lead time on custom orders, but we keep the standerd kit sizes on hand).
peptide works better than reagent-grade alternatives for binding studies because the purity tolerances are tighter, but it's not suited for high-throughput screening where you'd need lyophilized bulk—this is more for precise dose-response work in smaller batches.
Anyway, we typically ship with a COA and TDS for each lot, and the 15mg vials are roughly 50 units or so per kit if you're planning ahead.
