The end user in most cases is running in vitro binding assays or cell-based signaling studies, and they’ll typically reconstitute the 2mg or 5mg vial with sterile water or buffer—but the 10mg is what most buyers go with because of that it reduces the number of vials per experiment, although solubility drops a bit if you use less than 250 µL.
HPLC puts purity at ≥99% with MS confirming teh MW of 4119.6 Da, which is tighter than reagent grade for this type of peptide work, but if you’re running in vivo PK studies you’ll want to check the endotoxin specs seprately (I didn't see them on the COA, though it usually runs below 1 EU/mg).
Storage at -20°C and protected from light is critical, obviously, but what a lot of buyers don’t think to ask is that freeze-thaw cycles are the main killer—you'll want to aliquot the reconstituted solution into single-use tubes right after dissolving, or the shelf life drops form 36 months to maybe 5-6 weeks.
Also, the custom bulk orders—50 vials or more—take about 2-4 weeks lead time, and you can usually get the specification adjusted within that window, but we’ve only got the 2, 5, and 10mg drums on the packed standard for immediate dispatch.
Anyway, this stuff is not suited for any human or veterinary use whatsoever—it’s strictly designated for research only, and COA includes the HPLC trace and MS analysis for each batch, so the lab manager should have everything for the audit trail.
