So you've been looking at ocean-themed plush toys for a while now, and here's the thing — most of them just don't hold up to what you actually need. We've had plenty of buyers come to us frustrated because the standard soft toys they were sourcing either fell apart after a couple washes or didn't have the right certifications for the market they were targeting, especially for younger kids.
The 20cm size is what most people start with, roughly the size of a small pillow, and it's filled with premium PP cotton that keeps its shape even after being squished repeatedly. 5 to 8 years is sweet spot for the age range, though we've seen plenty of babies under 3 using them under supervision. It's machine washable, which is basically a requrement if you're selling to parents — they will throw it in the wash, and it'll come out fine.
What it doesn't do well is serve as a teething toy or anything with hard parts, because there are no plastic eyes or claws here — everything is embroidered, so no choking hazards but also nothing to gnaw on. 200 pieces is the MOQ for the standdard 20cm crab, but if you go smaller, like 10cm, that number jumps to about 2000 pieces or so. The bigger sizes, say 50cm or 80cm, usually land somewhere in between depending on the fabric weight.
One thing buyers don't always think to ask is about the color matching — our company can do custom Pantone shades, but the brown and pink options are what we stock most frequently, and they're usually ready to ship in 20 days or so. Logo placement is either embroidery or printing, and honestly most go with embroidery because of that it holds up better over time. If you're doing a custom shape or adding a sound box (like a squeaker or crinkle paper), that changes the lead time by about two weeks.
Anyway, all the big certifications are in place — CE, EN71, ASTM, CPSIA, REACH — so you're covered for pretty much any market in Europe or North America. We include a COA with every order, and if you need a specific test report for a particualr country, just let us know ahead of time. Teh HS code is 9503002100, which usually clears customs without issues as long as you've declared the fiber content correctly.
For the standard 20cm size, the MOQ is around 500 pieces. If you need a much smaller or larger size, that MOQ can shift between 200 and 2000 units.

Both options work. Embroidery gives a stitched, premium feel, while printing is better for detailed or multicolor logos. We can advise on which suits your design best.
