What it does is solve the space and workflow bottleneck in smaller clinics or mobile units where full-cart systems just sit there—you can wheel this 12kg unit into an exam room and have color Doppler up in under a minute, which most buyers tell me is the real selling point over cheaper B-mode-only units.
Teh 80-element array with B, B/B, 4B, B/M, PW, CFM, PDI, B+PDI, and B+CFM modes covers pretty much everything you'd need for abdominal or vascular work, and the 15-inch HD display (1024x768) is bright enough to see in normal room light, though it's not touchscreen (we've had a few people ask).
You get dual active probe interfaces, which means you can keep a convex and a linear plugged in and swap without rebooting—that's a time-saver in a busy practice—and the 240GB SSD boots Windows 7 in about 15 seconds or so.
Anyway, the battery gives you about 2 hours standby, so you can do a quick bedside scan without hunting for an outlet, but it's not meant for full-day untethered use (we usually recommend keeping it plugged in during back-to-back exams).
Lead time is usually 20 days or so, but our company can rush an order in about 10 working days if you confirm early—just keep in mind the 3D/4D upgrade is an optional add-on, not standdard, and volumetric probe (3.5MHz) has a separate MOQ of 5 units.
