We've got a buyer who runs a busy warehose repacking steel coils all day, and they needed something that wouldn't quit after a few hundred straps — that's basically where this tool came in, with its forged steel body and a blade that holds an edge through 7000 or so cycles.
The blade is Japanese tool steel hardened to 62 HRC, which means it slices through that 0.2 to 1.1mm band thickness pretty cleanly, and the max band width is 25mm so you're not fighting with wider straps on the feed mechanism.
You'll use it for both and fastening in one pass — the spring-loaded gripper takes the guesswork out of tension control — but it's not great for heavy-gauge coil banding over 1.1mm, lever system just can't get enough for that thicker matrial.
The ABS rubber grip is actually comfortable enough for a full shift, though we usually have stock but confirm lead time since the 7000-cycle rating depends on band cleanliness.
MOQ is typically 50 units or so, and our company can do custom grip colors or logo stamping on the body if you need to differentiate for your crew.
Customiaztion takes about 20 days or so, but teh standerd black-handle version ships in 3-5 business days.
It's rated for 0.2 to 1.1mm steel band. Push past 1.1mm and you risk damaging the blade or the tool itself.
About 7,000 cutting cycles, give or take, depending on band thickness and how clean your straps are. The Japanese tool steel holds up well.
