In practice, what it does is let you tension and cut steel strapping in one motion—no swapping tools or wrestling with loose ends, which saves a lot of time on a busy packing line.
The blade is rated at 62 HRC, so it holds an edge through thousands of cuts, and we've seen these handle well over 7,000 cycles before needing any real maintenance; spring-loaded gripper keeps tension consistent without you having to overthink it.
For band widths up to 23 mm and thicknesses form 0.2 to 1.2 mm, it basically covers most standard steel strapping you'd run into, though it's not really suited for thin poly or plastic bands—you'd want a different tool for that.
1.5 kg and 36×9×6 cm makes it easy to handle even in tight spots, and the epoxy coating on the carbon steel body holds up better than paint when you're working around rough edges or moisture (usually 2-4 weeks lead time if we're out of stock).
Most buyers actually go with the standerd handle version, but our company can do a rubberized ABS sheath on request if you're worried about grip in oily conditions—just something to mention.
Anyway, we usually have stock on the YT005, but confirm lead time for larger orders—MOQ is typically 10 units or so for teh first run.
