We've been working with these for a while now, and they hold up pretty well on the job site — the 900W motor in a body that's actually comfortable to grip for extended use is what most buyers comment on first. They're electric, 230V 50Hz, and spin at 11000 RPM (variable speed is optional, model TKF61156-V if you need that control), working with either 115mm or 125mm discs basically interchangeably.
That aluminum alloy and plastic housing isn't just about looking tough; what it does is keep the weight down without sacrificing durability, and the high-qualiy machining gears inside mean you're not looking at premature failure. The standerd TKF61156 is a solid choice for consistent jobs, but if you're switching between metals, tile, and wood often, the variable speed version actually gives you finer control, especially for rust removal or delicate grinding.
So you can cut and grind metal, strip rust, process tile, or work on wood — pretty much any multi-purpose task that doesn't need a specialized tool. It's not suited for heavy-duty continuous industiral use like a 2200W model would handle; this is more for workshop or site work where you need flexibility. Dry grinding on tile works, but don't expect it to handle wet slicing without issues, it's just not built for that.
900W at 11000 RPM gives you about 2.5 Nm or so of torque, better than a lot of 800W units we've tested for this price point. The variable speed option uses a thumbwheel control, not a dial, so it's easy to adjust mid-cut, and that's a detail you might not think to ask but really matters when you're in a groove. Dimensional tolerance on the spindle is tighter than most generic imports, meaning less wobble at higher RPM.
Each unit ships with a handle and the little wrench to swap discs — no carry case or extra accessories unless you specify. MOQ for standard model is typically 50 units, variable speed may be 100 or so (check lead time, we usually have stock but confirm). The variable speed feature is only on the TKF61156-V model. The standard TKF61156 runs at a fixed 11000 RPM.
