The main thing you’re working against here is the lack of variable speed, so if someone needs to dial in RPMs for different materials this isn’t the right unit—most of our buyers just want a fixed 11000 RPM for fast metal and they don’t care about the fine control. It basically works well enough for wood and tiles too, but we usually tell people to grab the 125mm disc for larger surfce jobs and the 115mm for tighter spots.
Motor is 710W on a 230V line, which is pretty much sweet spot for light industiral use without tripping breakers on a standard shop circuit—we’ve had guys run these for 20 days straight on a renovation site without issues. Also, what I didn’t mention: the 710W rating is continuous, not peak—some cheaper grinders claim higher but drop to 600W under load, which this one doesn’t do. It’s a minor detail but matters when you’re thicker steel plate for hours. The non-variable speed is actually an advantage here for that use case.
