We’ve got one who builds high-end door hardware for hotels, and he needs every batch to match the last one exactly—so we run 100% inspection with CMM and a spectrometer, basically testing everything before it ships.
The silica sol casting hits Ra1.6 to Ra6.3 suface finish, and you can hold CT4 to CT7 tolerances per GBT6414-1999, which matters for parts like hinge pins or latch mechanisms where fit is tight and plating has to lay down evenly.
It works well for handle sets and lock bodies up to 80kg, but teh minimum wall thickness is 2mm (or 1mm in a micro-region) so don’t try it for ultra-thin trim pieces—that’s just not what it’s designed for, and we’re upfront about the limit.
Also the blind hole depth ratio is 1:1.5, so if you’re designing a screw pocket keep that in mind, and we support 17-4PH for high-corrosion marine hardware which is better than 304 for salt spray environments.
Certifications include ISO 9001:2015 and RoHS, and we’ll send a COA with every order—usually within 20 days or so lead time, but confirm stock because sometimes we run a little behind.
Anyway, we accept IGS, STP, or XT files and can do black oxide or electropolish; just tell us spec and we’ll confirm retest policy before the MOQ is set.
We cast 201, 303, 304, 316, 316L, and 17-4PH. For outdoor hardware like handles or hinges, 316 or 316L is best because of its superior corrosion resistance against rain and humidity.
Our MOQ typically starts at 200 pieces for small parts, but it can vary depending on weight and complexity. For larger items up to 80kg, we can discuss lower quantities on a case-by-case basis.
Our standard surface roughness range is Ra1.6 to Ra6.3 as-cast. If you need a mirror finish, we can apply polishing or electroplating after casting to get it much smoother.
We provide ISO 9001:2015 certification and RoHS compliance reports. Plus, we do 100% inspection and can supply CMM reports and spectrometer material test certificates if your order requires it.
